The "before things are packed" checklist
Clearly label all important documents
Make sure all ids (birth certificate, soc.sec. Card, driver’s license) and bank needs (checkbooks, credit cards), medications, all important key chains and health directives (life alerts, wills,…) are accessible and clearly labeled. All important phone numbers. Think about items that are most important to you to bring to your new home.
Sort as much as you can into different piles of “donate, store, move” to new house, trash, etc.
Use our Color Legend and stickers provided by Packing Pros. Make sure things you don’t want packed are labeled so that packers know not to pack them (such as items you will need over the next few days before the move.
Choose designated bathroom for the team of packers to use. If certain treasures need special attention or handling make sure to inform packing supervisor.
Decide which rooms at the new home will receive boxes from old home in order to avoid having to carry boxes to rooms other than where they were intended to go. If there are any packing materials that customer already has at home to use then please inform packing team of those materials.
Have all trip hazards out of the way for the packers to arrive.
